China Reception Marks Sino-Ecuadorian Diplomatic Relations

The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) held a reception on January 31 to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Ecuadorian diplomatic relations.

He Luli, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), and other senior Chinese officials attended the reception.

CPAFFC President Qi Huaiyuan said at the occasion that the two countries have had fruitful cooperation in political, economic, cultural and other areas since the forging of their diplomatic relations two decades ago, adding that a series of agreements signed last August have helped promote the development of bilateral relations.

He expressed the conviction that friendship and cooperation between the two countries will achieve greater success in the years to come.

Ecuadorian ambassador to China Fernando Bossano highly praised the substantial progress in Sino-Ecuadorian relations, saying thatEcuador follows the one China policy, thus laying a solid foundation for the smooth development of bilateral ties.
