World Pakistan Blames India for Rocket Attack

Pakistan official sources said on January 29 that rockets fired from the Indian side of the international border landed near the border city of Sialkot in Pakistan's Punjab province, but no one was killed.

The rockets caused a powerful explosion and it was earlier reported to be a bomb blast, but the officials said it has been confirmed that the damage was caused by rockets, according to the private News Network International.

Earlier reports said two were killed and three injured in the blast. However, officials clarified that no one was killed or injured.

The alleged rocket attack came just one day after two bombs hatred Pakistan's largest city Karachi, killing five people and wounding 38 others.

Azim Daoudpota, governor of the Sindh province, of which Karachi is the capital, has blamed India for the explosions.

In the past two months, Pakistan has been battered by a wave of bombings throughout the country. Most of the explosions have occurred in Punjab and Sindh provinces in eastern Pakistan.
