Li Peng, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, met with a delegation led by Veikune, speaker of the Tonga Legislative Assembly in Beijing January 18 afternoon.

Veikune and his party are in Beijing for a seven-day goodwill visit to China at the invitation of Li Peng.
