China Dinosaur Egg Smuggler Caught in Dalian

Customs officials in the coastal city of Dalian in northeast China's Liaoning Province recently nabbed a man who attempted to smuggle a fossilized dinosaur egg to Japan.

The smuggler, who is Japanese, stowed the egg in his luggage on a flight to Fukuoka, Japan, and was stopped at Zhoushuizi International Airport. Customs also found a piece of bird fossil in the luggage.

Archeologists verified that the egg fossil was that of a dinosaur.

The case is still under further investigation.
