China Rescue for Trapped Miners Continues

More people were found alive January 14 deep underground the Dahuangshan coal mine near Xuzhou city in east China's Jiangsu Province, since the coal mine was inundated by underground water gushed from the pit on January 11. Xuzhou Mining Administration has sent four rescue teams to the scene of the accident.

Rescuers sent food to miners trapped in the coal mine through the vent during rescue operations. A total of 63 miners were trapped in the Dahuangshan Coal Mine. Three of them have died and 23 have been rescued. At present 37 miners are still trapped in the mine. (Xinhua)
