Friday, January 14, 2000, updated at 19:38(GMT+8) Education Shanghai to Open New HR Office in Xi'an To keep better flow of talents moving throughout the country, China Human Resources (HR) Market (Shanghai) will establish its second representative office in Xi'an, capital of west China's Shaanxi Province, in March. It will continue to expand its service area to other parts of China, and even foreign countries to encourage overseas Chinese students to work back in China, according to today's China Daily. "Throughout the world, we hope to become the real link between talents in Shanghai and in other places," Wang Shaochang, deputy director of Shanghai Human Resources Bureau was quoted as saying. Due to large amounts of universities and talents concentrated in Xi'an and its location as a city connecting central and western China, Xi'an is selected as the market's second destination for opening its representative office. "We have done something to help flow talents to West China, such as the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region," Wang said, "But something more is needed." The market established its first representative office in Beijing last October and held several job fairs in the capital. "These job fairs, especially the one on January 8-9 targeting highly qualified talents from prestigious universities in Shanghai, caused sensational response among Beijing residents," he said.
