Education Party School Holds Graduation Ceremony

The Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held its winter term graduation ceremony in Beijing on January 12.

Hu Jintao, president of the school and member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended the ceremony and presented graduation certificates to the students.

Zheng Bijian, the school's executive deputy president, said these students have achieved a great deal in their study of theory and have strengthened their Party spirit.

He said the school would reform itself by combining Marxism with theories and strategies that meet the demands of the changing times.

He noted that in the future education would especially target officials under 50 years of age who will assume positions of great responsibility and leadership in 2010-2020.

A total of 602 students, all high and middle-ranking officials at both central and local levels, graduated from the school on January 12.
