Sports Ou Ousted from National Team And Jiang Punished

Chinese goalkeeper Ou Chuliang has been ousted on Monday from the national soccer team after leaving the team's training camp without permission to appear on a popular television talk show.

Ou flew to Beijing from the camp in Qingyuan, Guangdong Province last Wednesday but failed to ask for a leave beforehand, the national team said in a press release. He returned to the camp the next day.

He will definitely miss the qualifying competition of the Asian Cup soccer tournament but it is possible for him to return to the team later if he draws a lesson from this, the squad said.

At the same time, Jiang Bin from Chongqing was fined 5,000 yuan and banned to play in the first five rounds of game of the Chinese First Division Soccer League. Further more, he is ordered to leave the camp within 48 hours. This decision was made after Jiang's leaving the training camp without permission on the evening of January 8.
