Culture China Initiates Website for Copyright Protection

China has formally kicked off its first website for copyright protection, the China Copyright Protection Center said in Beijing January 11.

The website, gives an introduction to the center, as well as information on copyright administration, academic institutions, and laws.

The National People's Congress Standing Committee approved a decision on punishing copyright infringement in 1994, when a nationwide intellectual property monitoring service was established.

In recent years, China has strengthened the administration and protection on its copyright registration system.
