Culture Painting And Calligraphy Album Published to Commemorate LatePremier

A large painting and calligraphy album was published today in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the birth of late Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai (1898-1976).

Published by the Central Literature Publishing House, there are 140 historical photographs, 48 calligraphy works, including calligraphy by Zhou and his late wife Deng Yingchao, 63 paintings, 57 poems, 41 pictures, as well as memoirs and letters.

The album was edited by the Publicity Department of the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist of China, the Nanjing Daily, the Nanjing Television Station and the Literature Research Center of the CPC Central Committee.

Zhou Enlai was born in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province, and studied at Nankai University in Tianjin and in Paris where he joined the Socialist Youth League. Zhou was a charismatic and astute political diplomat. (Xinhua)
