Business Clearing Fake Products from Chinese Markets Stressed

According to a news release from People's Daily, no fake commodities should be found into Chinese markets not to say counterfeit sales by department stores and shops in China and persistent in-depth struggles must be carried out to that end.

This is a call from five central authoritative departments with a circular issued on January 5, as is reported. Among the five central authoritative units are included the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the CPC Central Office for Guiding Ethic and Cultural Progress, State Administration of Domestic Trade, State Administration of Industry and Commerce, State Quality and Techniques Supervision Administration and the Communist Youth League Central Committee

As a part of the great effort in ensuring the sound development of a socialist market economy, it is reported, specific rules and regulations will be worked out and promulgated. Various measures are to be adopted. Abundant market supply will be guaranteed by practical and intensive administrative work by departments concerned in the way there will be room for fake products to be sold in China's rural and urban markets in 2000.
