Business Chinese Bourses Suspend Operation During Holiday

Operation of China's two bourses, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, will be suspended during the New Year holidays, from December 31 to January 3.

The Composite Stock Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange finished at 1,366.58 points on December 30, with the total turnover reaching 2,591,548,000 yuan.

The Component Stock Index on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange closed at 3,369.61 points today, with the total turnover finishing at 2, 604,907,000 yuan.
