China China Wishes Stability and Normal Order Restored in Cote d'Ivoire

China wishes that stability and normal social order can be restored as soon as possible in Cote d'Ivoire, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said in Beijing on December 28

Zhang said in a regular press conference that China closely follows the situation in Cote d'Ivoire and hopes the current situation can come to an end at an earlier date.

The spokeswoman made the remarks in response to a question concerning the coup d'etat staged by a group of mutinous soldiers last Friday. The coup was led by former chief of general staff General Robert Guei.
