Sports China Wins Macao Reunification Cup

The Chinese national team outclassed Macao XI 4-0 at the Macao Reunification Cup soccer tournament in Macao on Thursday. China's forward Su Maozhen took the highlight of the match by scoring the four goals all by his head, two in each half respectively.

The Macao XI squad featured three of the world's most valuable footballers - German Jurgen Klinsmann, Brazilan Carlos Dunga, and Italian Franco Baresi. However, they were overshadowed by their Chinese opponents.

China, who failed to qualify for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games in October, are now focusing on working towards the up-coming Asian Cup and 2002 World Cup.

The match was held for the celebration of Macao's return to China on December 20.
