Business Taiwan Trade Delegation Arrives in Xi'an

A 112-member delegation from the Chinese Commercial and Industrial Coordination Society of Taiwan arrived in Xi'an on December 19 for a trade inspection tour.

The delegation, led by society president Zhang Ping-chao, are here to inspect the investment environment in Shaanxi Province and its implementation of the strategic plan to develop western China.

They group will visit the Xi'an High-Tech Development Zone, and discuss future economic and trade cooperation with their Shaanxi counterparts.

According to local officials accompanying the delegation, they will also pay their respects at the Mausoleum of Huangdi (the Yellow Emperor), the ancestor of the Chinese nation, and then visit the Terra-Cotta Warriors and other cultural sites in the province.

The Taiwan Coordination Society, the earliest organization for trade exchanges across the Taiwan Strait, established cooperation with its mainland counterpart 10 years ago.

In July this year, a Shaanxi trade delegation visited Taiwan seeking better trade and economic cooperation
