China Jiang Zemin Meets Actors and Actresses

Chinese President Jiang Zemin met with actors and actresses participating in a theatrical performance marking the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR).

Accompanied by Edmund Ho Hau Wah, the first MSAR Chief Executive, Jiang went up to the platform and shook hands with them after the performance.

The celebration ceremony began at 10:00 a.m. at the Macao Forum, with dignitaries from across the world and representatives from all walks of life in Macao warmly celebrating the founding of China's second special administrative region after Hong Kong.

Jiang, who heads the central delegation, delivered an important speech at the ceremony, and Edmund Ho Hau Wah also gave a speech.
