Business China Issues Treasury Bonds

China on December 17 began issuing its last treasury bonds for 1999 in the inter-bank securities market worth 29.2 billion yuan.

The bonds with a maturity term of 3 years, carries a fixed annual rate of 2.92 percent. Interest will be paid on a yearly basis. The 34 underwriters of the bonds include the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the Construction Bank of China and the Bank of China.

This year China issued a total of 401.503 billion yuan of treasury bonds. (Xinhua)
