Sports Beijing-Macao Cycling Rally Concludes

The Beijing-Macao Cycling Rally held to mark the return of Macao to China came to a conclusion in Macao on December 15.

Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive designate of the future Macao Special Administrative Region, came to the race course of the Macao Jocky Club where the rally was held on December 15 along with more than 400 local amateur cyclists.

After one-hour competition, Pan Guangchun, from Liaoning Province in northeast China, won the Macao leg of the rally. He also won the first place for the Beijing-Macao Cycling Rally.

Participating in the Beijing-Macao Cycling Rally were 12 teams from Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland. The 3,000-km-long rally started in Beijing on November 21. Contestants arrived in Macao on December 13.
