Sports Li Ye Breaks Men's 3,000m Asian Record

Chinese teenager Li Ye broke the Asian record in the men's 3,000-meter race at the Asian short-track speed skating Championships here on Sunday.

The 17-year-old Li set a new Asian record of four minutes and 51.252 seconds, bettering the previous one of 4:53.430, which was set by South Korean Lee Seung-chan at the 1997 version of the event.
