Culture Film Seminar Celebrates China's 50th Anniversary

A seminar on films and television series showcasing major revolutionary historic events in China in the last 50 years opened on December 12.

In early October during National Day celebrations, a number of such films and television series were shown to the general public. They were warmly received for their vivid depiction of the Communist Party victory in 1949 and the portrayal of Chinese Communist leaders such as Mao Zedong.

Ding Guangen, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, called on film makers and artists at TV stations to continue to make many more good films that combine Party ideology with high aesthetic values.
