World DPRK Premier Congratulates China on Macao's Return

Hong Song Nam, premier of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), congratulated China on Macao's forthcoming return to China.

In a written interview with Xinhua, he said that the return of Macao, following China's successful resumption of the exercise of sovereignty over Hong Kong, will once again prove the correctness of China's "one country, two systems" policy.

The DPRK people express warm congratulations to the Chinese people, he said, adding that "the international community, which respects independence and territorial integrity, will also welcome Macao's return to China."

He pointed out that the return of Macao is a historic event for the Chinese people in their efforts to realize national reunification.

Hong believed that the Chinese people will surely realize the reunification of Taiwan with its motherland in the near future.
