Russian President Boris Yeltsin left Beijing this afternoon for home, at the end of a two-day visit to China.

During the trip, Chinese President Jiang Zemin and President Yeltsin held their second informal summit. Moreover, Chinese top legislator Li Peng and Premier Zhu Rongji also met with President Yeltsin.

China and Russia also issued a joint statement and a joint press communique in Beijing this morning, at the end of the second informal meeting between the two presidents.

President Yeltsin's entourage, including his wife Naina Yeltsina, his daughter Tatyana Dyachenko, and Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, also left Beijing for home on the same plane. (Xinhua)
