The construction of Xinjiang Ugyur Autonomous Region's largest commercial and trade center financed by a local businessman has been completed recently in Artux, the capital of the Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of Kizilsu.

The center, named "Xiyu Commercial and Trade Center", was sponsored by Rahamet Haji at a cost of 50 million yuan (some 6 million US dollars). It is equipped with more than 5,000 booths on a floor space of 60,000 square meters.

Located at an area bordering Kirghiztan and Tadzhikistan, it has become Xinjiang's largest commercial and trade center, which goes in for retail and wholesale services, tourism, shopping and foreign trade businesses. (Xinhua)
