Business Wei Jianxing on Reform and Stability of Enterprises

All enterprises should promote development, reform and stability by deepening the system of equal consultation and collective contracts, a top Chinese trade union official said Tuesday.

Wei Jianxing, president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee, made the remarks during an inspection of the Beijing Jeep Co. Ltd this morning.

He said that an effective system of adjusting labor relations according to law should be established in enterprises and issues concerning payment, labor security, hygienic conditions, insurance and welfare of employees should be discussed equally among employees and trade unions.

He pointed out that all the enterprises should introduce the collective contract system, which can play an important role in protecting employees' benefits.

Experience from the Beijing Jeep Co. Ltd and other companies in Beijing has proved that the system is beneficial for promoting the reform, development and stability of enterprises, Wei concluded.
