China Chinese, Greek Military Officials Meet in Beijing

Kui Fulin, deputy chief of the General Staff of the PLA said on November 29 that the People's Liberation Army (PLA) is able and determined to safeguard the unity of the country and the integrity of its territory.

Kui Fulin made this remark while referring to the Taiwan issue in talks with Christos Kazassis, deputy chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff.

The PLA shoulders the sacred mission of safeguarding the country's national authority and territorial integrity, and will not allow any part of China's territory to be excluded from the country, he noted.

Kazassis said the Greek government adheres to the "one China" policy, expressing the hope that the Taiwan issue will be resolved as soon as possible, following the return of Hong Kong and Macao.

Kazassis and his party are visiting China at the invitation of the PLA Headquarters of the General Staff.
