With the retrieval of the "Shenzhou" spacecraft on November 21, the computer system used in the process scored its 100th success and created a perfect operations record, according to Chinese scientists.

Experts from the No. 771 Academy of China Aerospace Technology Group said the computer system, which was developed independently by Chinese scientists, has been used continuously for monitoring and guiding aerospace launching projects for the past 28 years.

Since the creation of China's first domestically made integrated-circuit computer in 1966, more and more advanced space flight computers have been produced.

The recent launch and retrieval of China's first experimental spacecraft, part of the country's manned space flight program, is another milestone marking China's great achievements in the field. The perfect success record is the fruit of hard work by generations of Chinese experts, who have been making every effort to produce advanced aerospace computers of high quality, said the head of the No. 771 academy.

In 1975, Chinese scientists spent only seven months, usually one researching period, to accomplish the entire process of creating the Long March-2 carrier rocket computers and the launch project, with all the six computers passing operational tests at one time.
