Culture HK to Organize Camp for Environmental Protection

A three-week Green Hong Kong Camp aimed at promoting the awareness and knowledge of greening and environmental protection will start on December 7.

The Green Hong Kong Camp, to last until December 27, will consist of various recreational and sports activities, as well as an exhibition and talks on environmental protection, the Provisional Urban Council of Hong Kong, the organizer, said on Tuesday.

"Now in its fifth year, the Green Hong Kong Camp has been a major event of the Green Hong Kong Campaign," said a spokesman for the council.

The camp received more than 11,000 participants last year, said the spokesman.

More special programs will be organized on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays during the period, including horticultural demonstrations and practice, guided tours to nature trails, wildlife orienteering and green quiz. (Xinhua)
