Education New Art Institute for China's Top University

Qinghua University, one of China's most prestigious universities, has incorporated the Central Institute of Arts and Crafts, the country's largest art institute.

The institute is now known as the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University.

While Qinghua has long had an excellent reputation in the sciences, it was not as strong in the arts.

The incorporation is an important step toward building Qinghua into a comprehensive institution of higher learning.

Over the years, Qinghua University has been adding disciplines in the sectors of economic management, humanities and social sciences.
