World Pakistani Troops Open Fire at Indian Posts in Jammu

Pakistani troops opened fire at 12 Indian border outposts (BOPS) along the international border in R. S. Pura and Samba sub-sectors in Jammu division since Tuesday night, official reports said on November 17.

According to PTI, Pakistani rangers, using light to medium machine guns, fired nearly 700 rounds on ten BOPS in R.S. Pura sub-sector and nearly 300 rounds on two BOPS in Samba sub-sector Tuesday night.

Indian troops retaliated and the intermittent exchange of fire with Pakistani troops continued till Wednesday morning.

However, there was no loss of life or damage on the Indian side.

Reports of firing exchange between Indian and Pakistani troops were also received from some areas of Rajouri and Poonch sectors since Tuesday.
