The final round of the Olympic qualifying competition for the Sydney Olympics are slated for June 17-25 in Tokyo, the International Volleyball Federation announced on Tuesday.

The top three Asian teams -- Atlanta Olympics silver medallist China, South Korea and Japan -- as well as Thailand or Chinese Taipei will play against two European, one South American, one North American and one African country.

Joining them in the Olympics will be one team each from Europe, North America, South America and Africa decided in their respective continental qualifying rounds in January.

Reigning Olympic champion Cuba, European champion Russia and Atlanta bronze medallist Brazil have already qualified after finishing in the top three at the World Cup.
