Culture Porcelain Vases Marking Macao's Return Issued

Ninety-nine sets of porcelain vases marking Macao's return were issued on November 13 at the Foshan Library in south China's Guangdong province.

Among the 99 sets, No. 1 and No. 99 will be stored up respectively by the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) and the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The rest of them will be issued worldwide.

Meanwhile, 30,000 sets of badges, which are unique with the pictures featuring Macao's return, have also been issued in China' s inland areas, Hong Kong SAR and Macao.

China and Portugal started talks about the issue of Macao in 1985 and signed the Sino-Portuguese Joint Declaration in 1987. China will resume the exercise of sovereignty over Macao on December 20, 1999.
