Education Studio to Commemorate Late Musician

The Chinese Musician's Association (CMA) established a music studio in Beijing on November 11 in commemoration of late music teacher Shen Xiang.

Professor Shen made great contributions to music education in China, and many of his disciples later gained nationwide and even worldwide fame.

During his career, Shen endeavored to train grass-roots music teachers so that everyone in the country could have the chance to acquire an appreciation of music.

To fulfil Shen's wish, the CMA decided to create the studio to popularizeg music education and cultivate young singers.

The studio plans to produce books and audio-visuals, carry out academic exchanges, and organize international music competitions.
