China Uzbekistan President Leaves Beijing for Home

Uzbekistan President Islam Karimov left Beijing on the afternoon of November 10 for home at the end of a three- day state visit to China.

During Karimov's stay here, Chinese President Jiang Zemin held talks with him. The two heads of state also signed a joint statement on furthering friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Moreover, Chinese top legislator Li Peng and Premier Zhu Rongji also met with the Uzbekistan president on separate occasions.
