Premier Zhu Rongji met with Uzbekistan President Islam Karimov in Beijing on November 10 morning.

Karimov is expected to conclude his three-day state visit to China Wednesday, the third state visit to China since he became president of Uzbekistan.

Chinese President Jiang Zemin held an hour-and-half conversation with Karimov on Monday. The two sides reached wide- ranging consensus on expanding cooperation between the two and on other issues of common concern.
