Sci-Tech Sino-Japanese Technology Fair Opens in Shanghai

The '99 Sino-Japanese technology fair opened on November 9 in Shanghai, China's largest commercial center.

The four-day event, fourth of its kind in Shanghai, is jointly sponsored by the Shanghai technology exchange and the technology exchange of Japan.

During the fair, 14 Japanese high-tech companies, including Kawasaki and Fuji Software, will display their latest high-tech developments and hold talks on some 80 technological transfer and cooperation projects with 150 domestic enterprises and research institutes.

As a major technology trade promotion drive, the previous fairs had attracted more than 5,000 business people from 500 enterprises in the two countries.
