Culture Bird Park Opens in East China City

China's largest bird park will soon open to the public in the capital of east China's Anhui Province.

More than 1,000 rare and precious birds, including swans, red- crowned crane, storks and parrots, will live in the three-hectare park located in the beautiful Dashushan Forest Safari Park.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view birds in a next-to- natural habitat in "Bird World," a 45-meter-tall enclosed tent made of netting.

The province has invested approximately eight million yuan (964, 000 US dollars) to build the park, a local tourism official said.
