Wednesday, November 10, 1999, updated at 14:30(GMT+8) China's largest bird park will soon open to the public in the capital of east China's Anhui Province. More than 1,000 rare and precious birds, including swans, red- crowned crane, storks and parrots, will live in the three-hectare park located in the beautiful Dashushan Forest Safari Park. Visitors will have the opportunity to view birds in a next-to- natural habitat in "Bird World," a 45-meter-tall enclosed tent made of netting. The province has invested approximately eight million yuan (964, 000 US dollars) to build the park, a local tourism official said.
