Business Beijing Mayor Meets Croatian Minister

Beijing Mayor Liu Qi expressed his hope in Beijing November 8 that the capital of China will further its cooperation with Croatia in the fields of economy and trade, especially in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Liu made the remarks during his meeting with Nenad Porges, economic minister of Croatia.

Porges responded to Liu by saying that his visit is aimed at exchanging views with the Chinese side on cementing bilateral economic cooperation and trade.

He also said he hopes Croatia will cooperate with Beijing in the areas of petroleum, agriculture and food processing.

Porges is at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of China. (Xinhua)
