China were hit with double final loss at the World Fencing Championships on Saturday in Seoul as the men's foil team lost to France and the women counterpart crashed before Hungary in the team epee final.

China surrendered a close game to France, the 1997 world champions, by just one point at 45-44.

Defending champions Poland took the bronze medal with a victory over Cuba.

Later of the day, Chinese women epee team failed to make up for the men's loss as they went down 45-38 to the Hungarian team. (Xinhua)
