Business German-funded Electrical Equipment Company Set Up in Suzhou

A large electrical equipment manufacturer funded by the Moeller Group of Germany has gone into operation in the New District of Suzhou in east China's Jiangsu Province recently.

Moeller Electrical Equipment (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. has been funded with 32 million German marks (27.9 million US dollars) from the Moeller Group.

Major products of the company in Suzhou include more than 1,000 varieties of low-tension electrical equipment and switches, and they also intend to develop energy-saving technology.

The company covers an area of 25,000 square meters and employs a staff of more than 400 people.

The Suzhou company was the Moeller Group's first solely funded enterprise in China, and Moeller has also invested in five enterprises in other Chinese cities.

The Moeller Group, with headquarters in Bonn, has more than 350 subsidiaries in more than 70 countries, and is a major producer of electrical equipment worldwide.
