World Armenian President Declares State Mourning

Armenian President Robert Kocharyan October 28 declared three days from October 29 to 31 the national mourning period "for the prominent statesmen and politicians killed by terrorists at a session of the parliament on October 27.

The state flag of Armenia will be flown at half-mast as a token of mourning in the country and its diplomatic missions abroad, Itar-Tass quoted the Armenian President Press Service as saying.

A state commission headed by the president has been set up for the funeral of the killed statesmen. (Xinhua)
