China Vice-Premier Meets Hong Kong Trade Delegates

Chinese Vice-premier Li Lanqing met on October 27 with Hong Kong trade delegates who are in Beijing to attend the 3rd Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Forum.

Li welcomed the delegates and said there is a promising future for the cooperation in the hi-tech industry between the mainland and Hong Kong.

More people from the Hong Kong trade and business community are invited to work with the mainland for hi-tech industry development, he added.

Some 200 representatives from science, technology, trade and business communities attended the two-day forum.

Beijing Mayor Liu Qi and some representatives of Hong Kong trade and business groups were present at the meeting.
