Sports Bosnian Soccer Side to Meet Germany

Miso Smajlovic, newly named coach of the Bosnian natinal team, will lead his squad for next month's friendly match on November 11 in Sarajevo against Germany, according to the Bosnian News Agency Onasa.

Smajlovic formerly played for the Sarajevo-based club Zeljeznicar and was a coach of the Bosnian U-21 team when he was appointed to replace the former coach of the national team, Faruk Hadzibegic, the Onasa said.

Hadzibegic resigned last week because of disagreement over how the team should be structured.

The coach of the national team for the qualifications for the 2002 World Cup, which start in March, will be decided in the coming weeks.
