China Chanhete Bridge Put to Operation

¡¡One of the key projects listed in the "Ninth Five-Year Plan"-- the construction of the 268 km--long Xi-Kang Railway (from Xi'an to Ankang) has entered the decisive stage. At present, the construction at the two ends of the railway is going on smoothly. The picture shows the major control engineering of this railway--the 1,833-meter-long Chanhete Bridge has been opened to traffic.
