Business China to Regularly Publicize Foreign Trade, Economic Cooperation Announcements

China will weekly publicize regulations and laws concerning foreign trade and economic cooperation starting January next year, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) announced in Beijing October 22.

Those laws and regulations will be compiled in the "Pamphlet of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the People's Republic of China," which will be published weekly.

The pamphlet, which was previously published irregularly, will include laws and regulations adopted by China's National People's Congress, the State Council, MOFTEC, and other ministries of the State Council, MOFTEC spokesman Hu Chusheng said.

To be published will be laws and regulations concerning foreign trade, management of imports and exports, customs, commodity quality inspection, taxation, foreign exchange and use of overseas investment.

Hu said that MOFTEC will no longer issue separate documents that have been carried in the pamphlet, and that all documents printed in the single publication will be as effective as government documents issued separately. (Xinhua)
