
Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, topped the 2015 Forbes World's Billionaires list again with US$79.2 billion, up US$3 billion compared with last year. He has topped the list 16 times in the past 21 years.
Seven of the top 10 spots were taken by U.S. billionaires, cementing the country's leading position in the world economy.
The list included 1,826 billionaires from around the world, 181 more than last year. Among them, 290 were newcomers.
Following China's rapid economic development, more and more Chinese entrepreneurs appeared on the list -- 11 made the top 100 this year. Among them, five were from Hong Kong and six came from the mainland.
