Hangzhou-Nanchang section of Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway to operate (2)

A test high-speed train pulls out of the Yiwu Railway Station during a trial operation of the Hangzhou-Nanchang railroad, a part of the section of the Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway, in Yiwu, east China's Zhejiang Province, Dec. 4, 2014. The Hangzhou-Nanchang high-speed railway, which connects Hangzhou and Nanchang, capitals of east China's Zhejiang and Jiangxi Provinces respectively, will start operation on Dec. 10. The Hangzhou-Nanchang railway, which will link with the newly-operational Nanchang-Changsha high-speed railway, is expected to facilitate easy connection between China's central regions and prosperous east. The Shanghai-Kunming railway will eventually joins Shanghai in the east and Kunming in the southwest. (Xinhua/Tan Jin)
