China details borrowing from int'l financial institutions
BEIJING, June 24 -- China had used 86.369 billion U.S. dollars in loans from international financial institutions by the end of last year, the Ministry of Finance said on Tuesday.
Some 66.77 billion U.S. dollars had been withdrawn by then, and China had repaid 33.169 billion U.S. dollars of principal, the ministry said in a statement.
The lending has been used for 618 projects, 367 of which were supported by the World Bank and 204 by the Asian Development Bank, according to the statement.
