A large-scale anti-terrorism and riot control drill is held in a street in Beijing at 9:30 p.m., May 8, 2014. Officers from SWAT, traffic control and other emergency response departments completed the drill. With police helicopter hovering in the sky, more than 30 kinds of special vehicles and ambulance acted quickly and effectively.
The drill was intended to enhance Beijing police's responsiveness and preparedness in the event of a terrorist attack, according to officials from the Public Security Bureau of Beijing, the organizer of the drill. (People’s Daily Online/ Li Jing)
