Kazinform International News Agency has launched a Chinese language version of its website today, March 14.

Launched on the instruction of Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Chinese version of the website is a unique project for the Agency that has recently attained its international status. The launch of the project signals deepening of the partnership relations between Kazakhstan and its close neighbor and ally - the People's Republic of China.

Kazinform Agency is confident that the new version of the website will make a weighty contribution to further development of the political, economic, social and humanitarian ties between the two nations. The Agency has earlier established partnerships with China's biggest news media - Xinhua, People's Daily Online and Tianshannet.

The launching ceremony took place in Kazinform's headquarters in Astana and in the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in China in Beijing. A videoconference connected two cities during the presentation. Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Le Yucheng, Kazakh Ambassador to China Nurlan Ermekbayev, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, mass media and other organizations attended this event.

Currently, Kazinform ranks among the top 10 Kazakhstan's internet resources. Its content available in foreign languages engages its subscribers from 197 countries of the world. The Agency offers its readers information in the Kazakh, Russian, English and Chinese languages.
