A group of cartoon pictures of Chinese president Xi Jinping has been released to explain "where Xi's time has gone" for the first time, in which Xi is depicted smiling and waving.
Inspired by Xi Jinping's response in an interview at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, the editorial team of Qianlong.com set the theme "where Xi's time has gone" and spent a week on design. After several modifications the comic chart was finally released on February 19.
The comic chart immediately hit the headlines on major websites as well as new apps, with numerous reposts and followers on micro-blogs.
"More attractive than text news, the comic graphic news could reach readers' heart and it suits modern reading habits," said Huang Tingman, chief editor of Qianlong.com.
The chart shows that Xi has made 12 inspection tours across China to observe the state of the country. He has spent 39 days on five visits to 14 countries on five continents since he was elected Chinese president in March 2013.
